Es kam eine Antwort von Dropbox:
Hi Lars
I manage comms for Dropbox in DACH - and in this piece published today, I’d just like to correct and clarify the below:
- Our CEO addressed this directly here. As he stated, we do not automatically or passively send any Dropbox customer data to a third-party AI service - and Amazon CTO Werner Vogels apologized for his error. Hopefully that clarifies what’s going on here.
- Dropbox AI is currently only available to select customers. The third-party AI tab is only available and visible to customers who have access to it. If you don’t have access to these features, you won’t see the third-party AI tab.
- Dropbox AI only sends data to third parties if you explicitly interact with the AI powered feature. The files and the questions users ask are not used to train OpenAI’s language models. In fact, they’ve agreed to not train on our users’ data.
Thanks,
Lorna
