Nutze sonst immer save2pc,
aber y2mate.com funktioniert tatsächlich gut! Auch die verschiedenen Auflösungen
sind frei auswählbar. Der „Download“ läuft über schnelle Server…

So gut wie alle Sub-Domains (bis auf 3 oder 4) haben eine eigenständige IP und eine eigene Server-Kennung ! Sämtliche Server sind von der Hetzner Online GmbH und alle in Deutschland beheimatet !
Bei der Menge an IPs und gemieteter Hardware, sollten da wohl immens hohe laufende Kosten monatlich zustande kommen !
Daher vermute ich mal, dass dort eine Organisation und keine Einzelperson dahinter steckt. Desweiteren findet man auf deren Facebook-Profil fast ausschliesslich Kommentare von indischen und vereinzelt anderen asiatischen Personen,was nicht wirklich einen europäischen Standort vermuten lässt.

Mann könnte denken,
ES handelt sich um eine SERVERFARM…
Nun das die Server in Deutschland beheimatet sind,
macht die Sache noch brisanter…, denke auch da wird ganz schön
viel Traffic geschoben. Kein Wunder das die Server auf Highspeed laufen…

PS. „geschoben“, wieso muss ich bei den Teil an @vip denken?
ABER Danke prima Analyse. (Bin mir nicht sicher ob Hetzner sich auch bei
dir bedanken wird?).

Webhosting in Deutschland ist halt preiswert, schnell und zuverlässig.

Damit hast du Recht! Allerdings handelt es sich bei den Sub-Domains nicht um einfaches Webhosting für eine Site! Dort ist nämlich kein Content hinterlegt, verweisen aber alle mit der eigenst. IP auf Server im Hintergrund…Daraus folgt, dass es anscheinend eine grosse Anzahl von Servern (entweder VPS oder dedizierte Server) dahinter gibt! Es wurde wohl auch manuell NGINX installiert vom Betreiber, was dann aber vollst. SSH-Zugriff voraussetzt.
Es wäre auch ziemlich unsinnig, ca. 100 Webhosting-Pakete zu erwerben, wenn dort nirgends verwendbarer Inhalt hinterlegt ist!! :wink:
Gehen wir nun also von VPS / DEDIs aus, sind diese vom Preis her nicht mehr mit nem Webhosting vergleichbar und schlagen wohl mit bedeutend mehr monatl. Kosten zu Buche!
Da stellt sich dann die Frage: WARUM soviel Aufwand bei einem kostenfreien Angebot des YT-Downloader / Konvertierer ?? Dieses Netzwerk könnte ja noch für andere Projekte parallel dienen!?? Mal abwarten…

Genau so sehe ich das eigentlich auch! Und was erschwerend dazu kommt, ist die Grösse dieser „Serverfarm“ :thinking: Zum Betrieb von einem zweitklassigen Converter finde ich das etwas übertrieben! :rofl:
Vielleicht steckt ja noch etwas oder jemand anderes dahinter, was wir noch gar nicht sehen ??
